Alibagh trip Day 4

D4:

Difficulty level:Easy

Distance: 100km

Local attractions:

  • Nira Deoghar Dam with sun rise
  • Bhatghar dam
  • Countryside hill road

It almost the easy day for me .Most of the route were downhill. The excitement to view the sun rise on the dam was keeping me alert to wake up on time early morning around 6:30 even though last night was able to sleep for few hours. Made a morning walk around the area to feel the beauty around the green hills with that chilled morning air with sun just about to rise .Sun coming up behind the hill, and reflecting on the water along with the fog around the hills was just breathtaking. It was making me confused for the direction of the clicks as every corner had their own scenery.

With the rising sun after disassembling my tents that was becoming a boring habit for those days, I left the place with a gratitude to the hotel guys and it started with a downhill.

Road was mostly downhill and rolling with the  beautiful green hills both the ways and Nira-Devagor dam  was just following on the way.

Hills were also changing its beauty with the rocks and  with different colored  grasses .The small  villages were seen below the hills near the dam water.

It’s time to enjoy the downhill .Road was also becoming good. Mild chilled air blowing besides my head making my sole peace.

After around crossing 25 km  I reached Bhor, a small town. Gradually getting some extra energy as it was approaching towards Pune.

From Bhor you need to take a left towards Pune with the rolling road crossing few smaller ghats to reach the highway. On your left you can see the Bhatnagar the way for a Km. Sugarcane farming were there along the road near the dam apart from rice fields.

Just after the dam you can have a beautiful look of the necklace point of the river. This road goes through Kapurhol till the 48th no Bangalore-Pune-Mumbai highway .After few hour of riding on the highway with a decent speed I successfully complete my ride till Pune.

Sense of accomplishment of  a long solo ride through the coastal line through the ghats, will always be in my mind.
